Back

The 14th National Symposium on Numerical Methods in Fluid Mechanics (referred to as the 14th NSNMF) will be held from August 3 to 7, 2009

(Registration on August 3) Held in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. This conference is hosted by the Chinese Society for Computational Mathematics and hosted by Peking University School of Mathematical Sciences.

Undertaken by the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the State Key Laboratory of Atmospheric Science and Numerical Simulation of Geohydrodynamics (LASG),

Beijing Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics, Institute of Computational Mathematics and Scientific Engineering Computing, Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Institute of Scientific and Engineering Computing

Key Laboratory of Nonlinear Mechanics (LSEC), State Key Laboratory of Nonlinear Mechanics (LNM), Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Aerospace

It is co-organized by the School of Science of the University and the School of Mathematics and Information Science of Nanchang Hangkong University.

The academic report format of this session includes a 45-minute conference invitation report and a 25-minute communication report.

The conference warmly welcomes all the people engaged in numerical methods of fluid mechanics, numerical simulation of the atmosphere and ocean, and physical gas dynamics.

Scientific research, business, teaching, and engineering technicians in mechanics theory and calculation methods actively signed up to participate.

Scope of the call for papers:

1 . Methods and theories of fluid mechanics equations and their numerical solutions;

2 . Numerical methods in the atmosphere and ocean, climate numerical simulation, data assimilation, remote sensing inversion, data analysis, and predictability research;

3. Numerical methods for non-Newtonian flow, multiphase flow, reacting flow, rarefied flow, etc.;

4. Numerical methods for hydrodynamics and seepage problems;

5. Fluid mechanics interface instability and turbulence calculation methods;

6. Adaptive calculation methods, parallel algorithms and application software in fluid mechanics calculations;

7. Research on explosion mechanics, detonation physics and their calculation methods;

8. Modeling and numerical methods of complex fluids, as well as related physical gas dynamics theory and calculation methods.

Please submit the report title and abstract by email before April 30, 2009 (limited to A4 page)

and meeting receipt. Other specific matters related to the meeting will be notified in the second round of notifications. If you have any suggestions or inquiries

Please contact the conference planning team. The conference preparatory group is located in the School of Mathematical Sciences of Peking University.
