From February 16th to 18th, 2023, the Satellite Conference on Computational Mathematics of the Chinese Mathematical Society's 2022 Academic Annual Meeting was successfully held in Wuhan. This satellite conference was organized by the Computational Mathematics Branch of the Chinese Mathematical Society and jointly hosted by Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Central China Normal University, the National Center for Mathematics in the Central Region, and the Hubei National Center for Applied Mathematics. The conference comprised 21 invited sessions, featuring experts from 17 institutions such as the Institute of Mathematics and Systems Science at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Southern University of Science and Technology.

The meeting focused on the current development trends in computational science. The 21 invited speakers shared the latest research progress on various topics, including numerical methods for partial differential equations, computational materials science, inverse problems, quantum computing, and more. Approximately fifty scholars, experts, and graduate students attended the conference.

Established in 1978 under the umbrella of the Chinese Mathematical Society, the Computational Mathematics Branch aims to unite computational mathematicians, promote the development of computational mathematics, and contribute to the country's socialist modernization through scientific and educational advancements. This conference aimed to organize and support academic exchanges in computational mathematics and related disciplines globally, actively advancing research and development in both the theoretical aspects of computational mathematics and its application software.
